Nguyen Van Nhan lives in a family of six at Cao Son commune, Son Dong village, Son Tay, Hanoi. Now at the young age of 21, he is unable to self serve due to his mobility disability and retardation. Dealing with his health conditions, life is extremely hard for him as well as his poor family.
Ever since his birth, he has had his health defects, which are suspected to be a result from Agent Orange. It shuts all his chance of living a normal life. He has no proper education and is unemployed for insufficient health. Nhan’s failure to produce money means that his big family must survive on the little amount of only 60 UD per month that his parents can earn from doing agricultural work. His other siblings are still small; their chance for education is now highly at risk due to the financial situation of the family. And even worse, Nhan’s father, Nguyen Van Thanh, is now experiencing bad health conditions for working too hard.
The family’s sincere wish is that Nhan could have a wheelchair, so that he would be able to self-serve and his parents will have more time for working and earning money. If they earn enough, the children won’t have to face the fear of no schooling; they will possess a chance of having a brighter life. With just a small donation, you can help Nhan escape the state of uselessness, and more importantly, ensure the kids a secure opportunity of going to school.
