Living in a family of four at Dong Sang commune, Duong Lam village is Phan Thi Sinh, a 52 year old woman with a husband and two children. The family is living on the edge of poverty due to the two disabled members of the family and a low income.

Born in 1958, Sinh has had her mobility disability since birth. As she grew up, she got married and then gave birth to two little girl. Unfortunately her 25 year old daughter is also disabled.  She has cerebral palsy. The medical fees for both Sinh and her daughter have become one of the biggest concerns of the family. Sinh is able to self-serve but she is unemployed for insufficient health and lack of confidence. Instead, she works at home as a tailor. Her husband is a farmer.  The money he manages to earn from agricultural work is not much. Even with the support of insurance, life is really tough for the two to rely on the tiny income, especially since now they need to offer the children proper education.

Sinh’s small wish is to have a sewing machine and a little amount of monthly support so that her family won’t have to live in poor conditions.  Also, the future of Sinh’s daughters would be better secured. Any help from you would be received by Sinh’s family with great gratitude.
