About 2.5 million disabled people living in poverty. Your donation to Life Is Beautiful campaign goes towards programs including medical intervention, vocational training, employment and health that transform the lives of disabled people and families in Vietnam.

Tran Quoc Nam is a 41 year old man who suffers from polio. He lives with his family, including his wife, aged 41, and 2 children in a small, tidy house in Son Tay, Hanoi.

Nam was not always disabled. He was born as healthy and normal as everyone else, but a very high fever he had when he was 3 has tied his life with polio. Nam tried as hard as he could to finish high school, and he wanted to go to the the University of Fine Arts in Hanoi or the University of Sciences and Humanities.  He couldn’t because the tuition fee was too much for his family to afford. Hence, he went to community college with the support from his best friend and now his wife, Hoang Thi Yen. Currently, Nam is working for VietArt as a contract staff member. His main work is to design, decorate, and collect information for the company. His wife, Yen, is a primary school teacher. With a disabled husband, she has to make every effort to take good care of Nam and to provide for their children.

With your donation, Nam will be able to receive treatment from the hospital to improve his health condition. He could do so much more for his family if his health were better.
