Lo Van Toan is a 12 year old boy with congenital polio and mental retardation. He lives in Lai Chau province with his family of 5. His father is 36 and his mother is 35. It has always been hard for these poor parents to provide for a big family with a disabled person in it.
Toan had to drop out of school when his 3rd grade was still uncompleted at Phung Quang primary school because of his mental retardation. Having polio, Toan can’t even serve himself. His family have to help him with his daily activities. His parents are both farmers. Their monthly income is 20 USD. With such a meager income, they can’t even afford to have hygienic water for their daily lives. Every year, there are 3 to 4 months when they don’t have enough to eat. They are having serious financial difficulties.
Toan’s parents hope to have some capitals to invest in animal breeding. They want to buy a female buffalo, which would cost them about USD750. With your donation, Toan's family will have a better living condition and can earn more money by themselves.
