Nguyen Duc Manh is a 10 year old boy with a mobility disability. He lives with his 41 year old mother and one sibling in Lai Chau province. His father is imprisoned. So all the burden is placed on the shoulders of the poor mother.
Manh is unluckier than his sibling to be born with a disability. Despite being disabled, Manh still tries hard to go to school. He is in grade 2 at Son Binh primary school. Because of his disability, Manh can’t walk properly. His mother works as a farmer. Every month she earns only 45 USD. With such a meager income, life has never been easy for them. They don’t have hygienic water to use, wash, and cook. They get water from a dirty well.
