Nguyen Van Vi is a 12-year-old boy living with a wide range of devastating disabilities. He was born with polio and cerebral palsy which has resulted in problems speaking and hearing, mental retardation and immobility. Vi’s father recently contracted polio as well, leaving Vi’s mother as the sole financial supporter of the family. They struggle to exist on about 40USD per month and Vi’s severe disabilities are left untreated. His parents know that the only hope for Vi is if he is sent to a city hospital to receive adequate treatment. With your support this will be possible and Vi’s father could also seek treatment, giving him the chance to return to work. This boy could have a chance to flourish and live productively despite the challenges.
