Dream of
an own house
1,000 USD donation enables a disabled woman's family under one roof.
Be is a 28 year old woman living with Polio from Quang Ngai province with her husband and 1 year old child. After contracting a fever when she was six she suffered from polio. This disease costed her many years of her childhood reducing her to a bed ridden state. After many years of treatment she has regained some mobility.
Be has focused on improving her and her family’s situation over the years. Her husband is a mason earning 50 USD a month, and Be has recently been trained as a hairdresser. Unfortunately this job only brings in 15 USD per month for her family because she cannot work as much as she would like due to her decreased mobility. This lack of funds prohibits Be from owning a house of her own. Be has to pay 16 USD for hiring a small house every month and sometimes had to move from this to another, which has made her life less stable. Her family often teeters on the edge of homelessness. She wishes to have a house for her family, in which she can also open a salon to earn more money.
With as little as 1,000 USD Huynh Thi Be and her husband could purchase their own home, relieving their finances of the rental fees they pay now. Your donations will help them build a better life for their young child and will enable Be save money for better medical treatment for her disability.
